Ontrak Engineering's ultimate connection between community and family

The team at Ontrak Engineering have a relationship with Pink Finss that started in 2014.  This came about after witnessing the help Pink Finss gave to a friend of the family who was a young mum, and who unfortunately lost her fight against breast cancer.

Being leaders in the Australian and International mining industry they felt it was time to use their innovative platform to raise some awareness of breast cancer in young women.  What better way to get some attention than sending a bright pink piece of machinery to the mines commissioned for the next 7 years.

Before the Feeder Breaker was deployed to Peabody Energy’s Metropolitan Mine, in Helensburgh south of Sydney it was branded “Pink Finss” and pictures taken with the grandkids to capture this moment in time.  Ontrak committed to donating the proceeds of the initial hire and kicked off the campaign with a $10,000 donation to Pink Finss.  Since then Ontrak has taken every opportunity to support the Pink Finss and have very much become a part of the Pink Finss family, attending our events and being a part of our milestone moments.

Ontrak Director Robyn Lees is often used as a mentor to the Pink Finss team and loves to know that despite being part of a predominantly male dominated industry the team at Ontrak are able to make a difference.  “Pink Finss feels like a part of the Ontrak family and by creating this machinery our staff have become more aware of the impact of cancer and it makes us happy that a little bit of Pink Finss and the Hawkesbury is represented in the mines.”

Now 7 years later, the grandkids are much bigger but are excited to recreate this moment one more time. Squeezing into the feeder hopper, we witness the ultimate connection between community and family.  Thank you so much Ontrak for being a part of the Pink Finss family and for making us a part of your family in return.
